Hello World!
So I'm a bit under the weather right now, and I hope everyone else is doing better then I am. Well it's "Curves Around the World," time and this week's theme is denim on denim. I know that this trend seems a little scary because your wearing head to toe denim but when done right it can be really cute.
So the rule I like to follow when I wear the trend of denim and denim is to wear different washes or using two different tones of denim. Like in my outfit above I'm wearing a dark wash denim romper and a lighter wash on top of it. This is the easiest way to try the trend, grab two different washes of denim and put them together and you got an outfit for the trend. What do you think about the denim on denim trend?

So let me tell you about this romper, when I lived in the Philippines it was really hard for me to find clothes my size because everything was so small. So when I was going to leave the Philippines to go back home my aunt took me to a market place called Divisoria which is a crazy bargain market with lots of things and while I was walking around with her I found this small store that had plus size clothes. So I thought to myself I need to support this store because they need more plus size stores in the Philippines. So I tried on a few things and this was the one thing I walked out of the store with. So this romper is the only piece of clothing that I ever bought while I lived in the Philippines.
So I'm loving the romper trend right now, but I only own this one. But I am on the look out for a another one. The one thing I like about this romper is that it has pockets, I think pockets are always a plus for clothing. What do you think about rompers?
Thank you for reading and I hope you try this trend out.

I'm sure you will do a great job with the trend! :)
DeleteYou took the wearing contrasting shades of denim to the extreme! That is a super dark denim, and I love the sheen it has. It creates a great contrast against the lighter top you tied over it. This look is really sweet and has a vintage flair to it. It reminds me of the WWII era with all of the denim and the bow in your hair. Like a stylin' Rosie the Riveter!
ReplyDeleteI don't know that I've ever tried the denim on denim trend...outside of high school when I wore matchy-matchy denim outfits (I know...). Or college when I had a denim shirtdress. I so should have kept it! I would totally rock it now! If I had more denim pieces of varying shades, I would definitely try out your tips though. I'm excited to see how the other ladies interpreted this week's theme!

Thanks Liz, oh I didn't realize that it has a vintage flair, but I like that it does. Oh I think denim shirtdresses are really cute, I used to have one too and I would totally rock it now also. :)
