Curves Around the World: Knee High Socks

Hello Beauties!!! I hope you all had a great week and for those who celebrate Easter I hope you had a wonderful holiday! I was suppose to post an OOTD but I didn't like how my pictures came out so I decided not to post. I'm sorry I haven't been doing much post besides CATW but I promise I have more on the way! :)

But anyways it's the middle of the week you know what that means "Curves Around the World!" and this week is a little different the theme is "knee high socks," and well I don't usually wear knee high socks except for winter time under my boots. So this was a little different for me.
So like I said before I usually only wear knee high socks under my boots and a lot of my knee high socks have designs like pokadots and stripes. But I was happy to find a few pairs that didn't have a design because I didn't want it to clash with my skirt. So knee high socks don't really fit me well because I have really big calves so usually they don't go to my knee, most of the pairs I have reach my calf only. I was lucky with these because they were a bit longer then other pairs I own. Do any of you have problems with your calves?
So originally my outfit was black and white, but I looked over my past post and I realized that I've been doing a lot of black and white. So I decided to add some color into this post especially since it's spring and I'm happy I did because I'm really happy with the outcome.
{Top:Old Navy} {Vest:Forever 21+} {Necklace:Macys} {Skirt:Made by Mom} {Socks:Target} {Shoes:Philippines}
So I knew I wanted to wear oxfords with my knee high socks because I just think they look cute together. But this pair I totally forgot I had, I bought these a few years ago in the Philippines when I used to live there. I forgot that I had them until I was looking for another pair of oxfords that I have and I found these. Now I remember how much I love these shoes, I might be wearing these a lot for spring.
Thanks for stopping by my blog. What do you think of knee high socks? Do you wear them? and if you do How do you like to wear them?

Curves Around the World: Casino Night

Hello Wonderful people!!!
I hope everyone is having a fabulous week! Can you believe that this month is almost over? It still feel likes April just started. But yeah it's hump day, you know what that means...another "Curves Around the World" post! This week was a little challenging for me the theme was "Casino Night," and I was so lost on what to wear. I'm not a huge gambler and when I think of the casino, I think Las Vegas and when I go to Vegas I always dress up.
This is the outfit I came up with, I didn't want to wear a typical black dress which was my first thought. But I thought this would be a fun alternative, black shorts with a collared top and to dress up the look I wore heels. I decided to wear nude heels instead of black because I wanted to change it up a bit because I would usually would wear black. I can totally picture myself going to the casino with my girls for a girls night out in this outfit. What do you guys think? (ps yes my eyes are closed in the second picture but I thought it was fun different picture)
{top:Forever 21+} {shorts:FashionQ} {shoes:Steve Madden}
So I decided to take some fun shots with cards just to go with the theme of Casino Night. What's the best hand you can have when you play poker? A Royal flush! :) I really don't actually know how to play poker though. At the casino I only play the slots or the bingo! What do you like to play at the Casino?
Thanks for visiting my Blog!

Curves Around the World: Favorite Shoes

Hey Everyone!!!
So it's another "Curves Around the World" post and this weeks post is on favorite shoes! So I have to be honest I am not a shoe girl, I know there are many girls out there who love shoes but I rather buy clothes. But it's not that I don't like them but I'm the kind of person that if I have a favorite pair of shoes that are comfortable they are my go to shoes and I will wear it with everything. If you follow my blog you know that I love boots and they are my go to pair of shoes, that's why it's no surprise my favorite pair of shoes at the moment are...
So when I was thinking of which pair shoes is my favorite I was torn by two different pairs of boots that are currently my go to shoes. But I had to choose this pair of boots because I have been wearing them a lot and also I know that I am going to be wearing these boots a lot in spring. My other pair is more of a winter boot and I like how this pair is short ankle boots that will go well with dresses, shorts and so many things.
So it's very hot right now in California, I think we skipped Spring and went straight into summer because today it was in the 90's! I wanted to wear a dress but I thought it would be nice to wear this jumper that I got from forever 21+ because it's something different then just a regular dress. This jumper actually was really long on me, it used to fall just below my knee. I'm short girl so plus size clothing is usually long for me, so thankfully I have a mom that can sew so I asked her to make it shorter and I really like how it looks now.
{Dress & shirt: Forever 21+} {Shoes: Ross}
I just realized that you can't really see the detail of the jumper because my hair is covering it up. But yeah the black top is separate from the jumper which is like overalls. I know that I'm calling it a jumper but I'm not sure what to call it because it's like overall's but it's not overalls, so I'm just going to say it's a jumper! hehe
Thanks for reading! Are you a shoe girl? What is your favorite shoe?

Curves Around the World: Royal Blue

Hello my dears!!!
I hope everyone is enjoying April so far, can you believe it's already April! But yeah I know this might be a little late for my usual "Curves Around the World" post but better late than never. It started to rain yesterday when I was about to take my pictures, so I had to postpone taking my pictures for today. So yes it is that time again and this weeks theme is Royal blue and it's a beautiful color and I do really like the color a lot. I own a few items that are royal blue but I decided on my sweater.
So I decided to have my royal blue be my pop of color to my black and white outfit because yeah I really do love black and white outfits with pops of color. So my pants are actually tights and I have been wanting some black and white jeans so when I saw these leggings at Forever 21+ I got them right away without trying them on. My mom actually told me that it wouldn't suit me because they would stretch weird on my legs and would only look good on skinny legs. At first when I tried them on at home I heard my mom's voice in my head saying they look bad on me. So after I didn't wear them for awhile but then one day I told myself I like these legging and I want to wear them so just wear them and I realized they weren't as bad as I thought. I think sometimes you just have to get out of your head sometimes and let go of all the negative thoughts you have about yourself. Always try to think positive about yourself, even if your mind might want to think otherwise.
So I've been using this Phillip Lim bag from Target bag recently because its small and really cute. If you follow me on instagram you know I went to around 5 different Targets to try to find this bag and didn't find it anywhere. So one of my friends was able to get a hold of some of the bags and she gave this one to me. Thanks so much to my friend Mary who gave this to me, shes the best! :)
So I decided to show a close up of these boots, I've had these boots for awhile now and I just love the detail on the side of them.
{top & leggings: Forever 21+} {sweater: Old Navy} {boots & bag: Target}
What do you think of the color Royal blue? How do you like to wear it?

Curves Around the World: Scarf

Hello loves!
I hope all of you are having a great Spring so far! Well it's that time again for another "Curves Around the World" post and this weeks theme is "Scarfs!" I love scarfs, I think they can be worn in so many different ways and they can transform an outfit plus they can also help keep you warm when it's cold.
So it was a little cold here in California today because it rained in the mourning and it was really windy when I took my pictures today but I decided to go for a light scarf because I don't think it's cold enough for a heavy one. I actually made the scarf this weekend when I was thinking of this challenge because it was hot that day I thought I would make a light scarf not thinking it would be cold this week. But yeah I looked through my mom's fabric and found this pretty lace so I cut it long ways about an inch and tied the ends together and boom I got a pretty new scarf infinity scarf. I actually was suppose to sew it but I decided to keep it open if I might want to use it for something else.

{tank:Forever 21+} {skirt:Target} {sweater:Old Navy} {shoes:H&M} {scarf:DIY}
So I kept my outfit pretty simple with plain prints but of coarse I had to add a little spice to the outfit with my leopard flats. But yeah I originally thought to wear a black skirt but then I thought I should add a pop of color so I thought this purple skirt would be great. I really like how the purple goes with the taupe color of the scarf. I wasn't going to wear stockings but it was kinda cold so I wanted the extra warmth. I usually have a hard time finding stockings because I'm short and I need a bigger size but I really like these ones from Old Navy.
How do you feel about scarfs? What's your favorite way to wear them? I would love to find new ways to wear them! :)
