What I got from ThredUP

Hey Beauties!!!
So I don't know about you but I've been seeing a lot of thredUP advertisements on Facebook but I didn't really know what it was. So when I was contacted by them to try it out I thought why not and today I'm going to share what I got and a little review about how things work.
So I used to love thrifting but I stopped doing it because it got so hard finding sizes so I just kind of stopped. ThredUP is like thrifting online, they say that they are like an online consignment store. They offer a wide array of brands and sizes which is one thing I really liked. They sell used clothing that are hand selected and certified for quality to people at discounted prices. They also take used clothes and give you money for the ones that they are going to sell.

What I really liked about the website is that it was so easy to use and I loved how you can filter size, type of clothing, price and brands. When I was going through the site I would filter in my size an XL or 1X and I looked through the different types of clothes and I was surprised to see so many options because I wasn't expecting their to be that much. They also offer a plus size section that goes up to 5X and a size 32, they also offer a petite, tall and maternity sections as well.
So I fell in love with this dress when I saw it because I loved the big bow in the front of the dress. The dress is from an old target collaboration with Kate Young and I remember the collection and loving some of the things they had but I also remember I couldn't afford any of it. So I was really glad to see it on thredUP and it happened to be in my size so I knew it was what I wanted to get.

So the dress is a size 16 but it's a tad tight around the bust area but it still works for me. But my favorite part of the dress is that they have pockets! I love dresses or skirts that have pockets because it's just great to know I can put my hands in the pockets. Don't you just love pockets?
So I got this dress because it was so pretty but I also thought it would be a great dress to wear if I go to something nice like a wedding or something around those lines. I decided to pair it with a sweater for a few pictures just to show that you can still wear something over on cooler days, you could probably even wear a jean jacket to dress it down as well.
If you are interested in trying thredUP I have a referral link (here) that will give you a $10 for your first purchase. Have you ever heard of thredUP before?
Thank you for reading, hope you have a fantastic day!

XOXO - Nina

  1. Love your outfit! The print is very unique and I'm a huge fan of pockets too! I'm that girl if I find pockets in a dress it seals the deal for me since I find it handy to put my phone in it if I don't feel like carrying a wristlet around.

  2. I've seen the ads for ThredUp on facebook also but haven't checked it out yet. I love the idea of being able to go thrifting and not having to actually sort through items looking for something that *may* or *may not* fit! That dress looks gorgeous on you :)
