Happy Monday Everyone!!!
Since it's Monday again, you know what that means, it's time for a new theme with the girls from "Curves Around the World" and today's theme is favorite trend. I shared a few of my favorite upcoming spring trends recently (here) so it's not a surprise that my favorite combines two of the three I shared.
So my favorite trend right now has to be both shirt dresses and gingham. So I'm wearing a shirt dress in a gingham print, getting the best of both trends. I have worn this dress before on my blog but I thought it was fitting to wear it for this post and it is style differently. I also believe that it's ok to wear the same thing more than once and I have to tell you I think this will be one of my favorite go to dresses for Spring and Summer.
Today's photo's are a little different then usual because if you read my 2nd year anniversary I said I was going to try to step out of my comfort zone and one way was with pictures. So my friends and I recently went to the Korean bell of friendship in San Pedro California, just to visit because we haven't been before. So while there my friend said why don't we take some photos which was great because I had this outfit on and I knew this would fit great with this post. So hope you enjoy the photos from this post, I know they are different from what my pictures usually look like.
Just in case your wondering, the Korean Bell of Friendship or the Korean Friendship bell was given to the United States by the Republic of Korea to celebrate the Bicentennial of the United States and it was to celebrate the friendship between the two nations.
The bell is located at a park on top of hill overlooking the ocean. It's so beautiful but it was really windy when we were there so you can see I'm holding my hat a lot in pictures because the wind was so strong.

Love this look on you. I surprisingly do not own any gingham but I love the trend. My favorite at the moment is suede. I got a suede skirt that I am just loving.

Thanks girl, but it's still hard to find friends to take the photos, so it will be every now and then when I find someone but I think it's a start!
DeleteStunning photos!! I absolutely LOVE your dress! The colour is so vibrant and pretty. It's so you! I love short dresses too but only have the one. This will be so good for all seasons as can we worn with boots and tights and a leather jacket on winter. You look fab!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kate, yeah it was actually cold when I took these photos and I was thinking that a leather jacket could totally work with this look right now. ;)
DeleteWhat a great backdrop for your photos! I love that you blended two of your favorite spring trends in this look. It's fun to first hear about your favorite spring trends and then see how you style them to work for you. I love this take on the gingham trend because its' darker and edgier than all of the red and white, pink and white, and blue and white gingham I'm seeing around. The little bow belt adds the cutest girly touch to this look!

DeleteLove the photos, Nina, and the blue and black gingham is really pretty. I love a shirtdress, and this one looks great on you!! My favorite trends for spring are flare leg jeans and sheer materials.
