Hello Beauties!!! I hope you all had a great week and for those who celebrate Easter I hope you had a wonderful holiday! I was suppose to post an OOTD but I didn't like how my pictures came out so I decided not to post. I'm sorry I haven't been doing much post besides CATW but I promise I have more on the way! :)
But anyways it's the middle of the week you know what that means "Curves Around the World!" and this week is a little different the theme is "knee high socks," and well I don't usually wear knee high socks except for winter time under my boots. So this was a little different for me.
So like I said before I usually only wear knee high socks under my boots and a lot of my knee high socks have designs like pokadots and stripes. But I was happy to find a few pairs that didn't have a design because I didn't want it to clash with my skirt. So knee high socks don't really fit me well because I have really big calves so usually they don't go to my knee, most of the pairs I have reach my calf only. I was lucky with these because they were a bit longer then other pairs I own. Do any of you have problems with your calves?
So originally my outfit was black and white, but I looked over my past post and I realized that I've been doing a lot of black and white. So I decided to add some color into this post especially since it's spring and I'm happy I did because I'm really happy with the outcome.
{Top:Old Navy} {Vest:Forever 21+} {Necklace:Macys} {Skirt:Made by Mom} {Socks:Target} {Shoes:Philippines}
So I knew I wanted to wear oxfords with my knee high socks because I just think they look cute together. But this pair I totally forgot I had, I bought these a few years ago in the Philippines when I used to live there. I forgot that I had them until I was looking for another pair of oxfords that I have and I found these. Now I remember how much I love these shoes, I might be wearing these a lot for spring.
Thanks for stopping by my blog. What do you think of knee high socks? Do you wear them? and if you do How do you like to wear them?
Now don't forget to check out the other wonderful ladies from "Curves Around the World" and don't forget to show them some love.

DeleteI am sooooooooo going to take a note out of your book with all of these gorgeous bright colours!! I loooove this whole outfit so much! You have really incorporated the socks in really well with this outfit!! Loving it!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kate, I wasn't sure about the bright colors all together but I'm happy it came together well! :)
Deletegirl you are braver than i am! my calves are huge so i hide them at all costs lol
ReplyDeleteAwww I'm sure they aren't as bad as you think!
DeleteI'm not a huge fan of knee high socks mostly for the same reason you mentioned - big calves. I do love the look of over the knee socks with knee boots in the fall and winter. I really like your skirt and the green top! Great photos!

Thanks Cassie, I really like the look with the knee boots and socks as well for the winter, but it's so hard to find those kind of socks.
DeleteThis is so perfectly 90's, but those adorable oxfords bring the look right into the modern day. It's so hip and cute! The shoes are seriously my favorite part. I hated oxfords when they started getting popular. They just looked too masculine and nerdy and strange. But the more I see them styled and the more varieties I see released, the more they're growing on me. As for knee socks? I don't wear them. I don't think I've ever worn them, even though I thought Cher rocked them in Clueless. I think with fit-and-flare dresses and t-straps pumps, I could make them work for me, though!

I did like the knee socks that cher rocks in Clueless, I loved that movie. But yeah I've always been a fan of oxfords and I few different types because there so comfy and I like the masculine feminine look of it. :)
