Hello My Wonderful Friends!!!
Happy St. Patrick's day but it's not just St. Patrick's day it's my Blogiversary! I still don't know why I started my blog on a holiday but I remember thinking it's now or never and now it's been 3 years!
I can't believe I've been blogging for 3 years now. It's been such a crazy year for me and I honestly had doubts and wanted stop blogging but when I looked at why I blog it was a better reason to keep going. I blog because it's something that I actually really enjoy and it's a great outlet for me to be creative. I love fashion and have always loved it but I never challenged myself fashion wise before because I was always scared but after blogging I'm so much more confident and I'm having fun with creating outfits. When I was younger I used to look at catalogs and think of outfits I could put together and now I look at my closet and I actually wear the outfits I think up and I love it so much.
So last year I made a goal list (here) of things I wanted to improve on and I wanted to reflect a little on those just to see if I was able to accomplish them or not.
- Social Media - I wanted to grow my social media and I might not have grown it as much as I wanted I did finally got my goal of 1,000 followers and that was a big thing for me, it's slowly but surely! I still hope to grow my instagram upcoming year and I hope to post more on their too. You can follow me (here) if you aren't already. At the time I just started using facebook and I think I've done a good job of posting my blog post on there and I'm proud of myself with that but I hope to continue to use it more too.
- Stepping out of my comfort - I wanted to continue to try different styles and I think I was able to do this by trying new things and also wearing more color. I also wanted to take more pictures outside, I didn't do this that much but I was able to do it a few times which is great but I'm hoping this year I do it more.
- Connections - I wanted to reach out to new bloggers and I wanted to meet some also, I was able to go to a pop up shop and I met one of the bloggers I actually work a lot with Janeane from Designing from my Closet and I think its really great. But I think this is something I still need to improve on, I'm hoping I will be able to do this by commenting on more bloggers pictures and really try to reach out to them more. I'm still a really shy person but I think I need to push myself more with this one and get out of that kind of comfort zone.
- Lastly Reach out - I wanted to reach out to more companies and work with them. Now I was able to work with a lot of new companies this year but it was due to the help of my blogger friend Liz from With Wonder and Whimsy and I owe her so much for helping me with this. I also reached out to a few companies as well but had no luck with them. So this is another thing I want to try to do more of this upcoming year.
I was able to accomplish a lot of my goals but I think they are goals I want to also make for this year as well because they are things that I want to continue to improve on. On top of all of those I want to step out of my comfort zone in posts as well, I've started reviewing beauty product but I also want to push myself to think of other things. I was thinking of doing some of the things I did in past years, for example 1 trend 4 ways and hauls, just to name a few. But I also want to try new things too but I have to think of some.
So I don't think I could have gotten through these 3 years of blogging without such a great support system. I want to thank Liz, Janeane and Hailey, my blogging friends who helped me so much this year, I honestly don't know how I would have gotten through this past year without you girls. I want to thank my friends who have supported me by lifting up my spirits, taking pictures for me and not eating when I want to take instagram pictures! I want to thank all the people that read my blog, like pictures and comment on pictures on instagram, the people who send me nice emails and just everyone because you are a big part of my blog and help me keep going. Thank you all so much because I know if it wasn't for you CurvyMod would not be here!
Thank you and I hope you continue to support me on this blog journey!
XOXO - Nina

Thank you so much for that, I really appreciate it! :)
DeleteHappy Blog Anniversary, Nina! You should be so proud that you've stuck with it and continued to push your own fashion boundaries. I'm so lucky to have found a blogging friend in you, and you definitely inspire me to keep plugging away and try new things. I admire your thoughtfulness and gentle heart, and you do a great job of sharing your personal struggles, fashion fears, and attempts to overcome them. I look forward to seeing what you share in your fourth year of blogging!

Thank you so much Liz, I don't think I could have gotten through this year without you and the other girls, you all have helped me so much this past blogging year. But yeah you totally inspire me so much to push myself as a blogger as well and I really appreciate it!
DeleteHappy Blogiversary, Nina!!!! I think you are doing great with your goals, and practice will get you closer to reaching your goals. I have a lot of goals about my photography - I feel like it is my weakest area, and I don't have the time, expert photographers, or weather to take the great photos that I see a lot of other bloggers do. It can be discouraging at times, but I keep working towards my goals. Good luck, and I'm so proud of you for sticking with it and getting more bold/confident in your clothing choices.

Thank you so much Cassie, it means a lot to me because I know that we have been following each other for as long as I've been blogging. I feel like photography is also a very weak point for me but I try and that's what matters right!
