Curves Around the World: Remix 2014

Hello my lovely Friends!!!
I hope everyone is doing well and has all their Christmas shopping done, I know I still have a few things to get. I can't believe how fast this year has gone by. But yeah I'm back with a new "Curves Around the World" post and today's post is remix 2014 where were taking one of our past looks and remixing it. I think I was the one that suggested this because I like to do it all the time with clothes in my closet and I thought it would be fun to do it with a "Curves Around the world" outfit.
So the outfit I chose to remix was this white summer dress from the sex and the city post. (here) I decided to chose this dress because I thought it would be interesting to style a summer dress for fall. We are so fortunate that it's not that cold her in California, I think we get excited for winter weather when it's in the 60s which today was. I know other parts of the country are freezing with snow but hey that's why I live in the sunny California. :)
So to make the dress a little warmer I'm wearing a long sleeve crop top over the dress. I really like doing this with sweaters too. But I didn't want to belt the outfit so I tried it with the crop top and I liked how it looked.
So the scarf I'm wearing was given to me for birthday and it's the first time I'm wearing it. My cousin gave me the scarf and my niece was so excited to give it to me because she said her mom let her pick it out, she's 5. That's why I was so happy it was cold enough to wear it today, I know she will happy to know I wore it.
{dress:Old Navy} {top:Forever 21+} {Scarf:gift} {shoes:Burlington Coat Factory}
Can I tell you I'm obsessed with these new booties I found at Burlington Coat factory. I found them tossed on the side of the aisle and they were on clearance for $10. I just love the grey color and they have a slight wedge to them.

  1. I adore remixing! I have just recently gotten into using dresses as skirts similar to what you have done here but I am always looking for new and fun ideas on how to do it. Super deal on those booties. Love them on you!

  2. I love that you chose to remix a white dress. Very smart! It's such a summery dress, but you've shown how to make it work for winter. (Well, California winters, anyways! lol)

    I'll have to try your tip of wearing a top over a dress to turn it into a skirt. I just got a black velvet crop top from SmartGlamour. I wonder how it would look over some of my fancy holiday dresses? It might be a cute way to dress up more casual day dresses, too. I'll have to try it!

    I think this look is cozy and wintry and pretty. You wear neutrals really well. The scarf is the perfect accessory, and the booties give it a wintry feel, too.

    You know I love remixing. And you'll be seeing even more of it after the first of the year since I'm putting myself on a spending fast!

    I love your style, Nina! Merry Christmas! I hope you have a wonderful time with your family!

    1. Thanks Liz, and I definetly think your smart glamour top will look great with a casual dress, I'm just in love with that top. I love remixing too because it's fun thinking of new ways to wear things. :)

  3. I always remix and restyle clothes, but I'm not great about layering dresses. You did a fabulous job here, and those booties are super cute!!

  4. Great layering. I always want to do this, but I so addicted to buying prints it makes it way too difficult. lol. I need to start buying more basic, solid colored stuff. The booties and scarf look like they were made for each other.
