Curves Around the World: Floral

Hello Lovelies!
Sorry for my lack of post this month, we just finished a heat wave in California and I did not want to go out and take photos when it was in triple digits outside plus I have had less time to get things done. I really need to start reorganizing my time so I can be back on track with the blog. But yes I'm back with a back theme from Curves Around the world, "Floral" and dark floral's are my favorite trend for fall. It might officially be fall now but the weather in California is still summer, so with this outfit I'm dreaming of fall of cooler weather.
So I got this dress this summer from H&M and when I saw it I knew it was a great dress I could wear in the summer and then transition it into fall very easily. I've worn this dress already a few times this summer but I feel like it feels more of a fall dress, so I added the cardigan to make it feel more like fall but in reality it was in the 90's outside when I took the photos.
{Dress:H&M} {Cardigan:Ross} {Shoes:From Philippines} {Socks:Old Navy}
So with fall around the corner, I'm dreaming of the cooler weather and the shoes that I get to wear. In the summer since it's so hot, I'm always in sandals and flip flops, so these brogues are one of my shoes that I'm using to transition my wardrobe a little into fall. I usually wear these shoes with knee high socks or tights but like I said it was really hot outside so I decided to wear shorter socks. But I really like the way it with the shorter socks look, I usually wear these socks under pants so you never see the cute lace detail on them, so it's nice to show them off when I wear socks.
So I don't think you see it but I actually have a swollen eye because of allergies and I wasn't going to take pictures today but I told myself I needed to because I can't become more behind on this blog. So yeah excuse the puffy eye! :)
Thanks for reading! Now don't forget to check out the other girls and show them some love too! :)

  1. Love the floral dress - liking the dark florals for fall too! It's really cute with the brogues - something I wouldn't think to do, but it's super cute.

    And, I did not notice the swollen eye - even after you mentioned it, I couldn't see it! :-)
    Hope you get some fall weather soon - it's back up to the high 80s here today, so I'm feeling like I should get a little more use out of my summer gear.

    1. Thanks Cassie, I really like how the brogues look w/ the look. I'm glad that my swollen eye isn't that visible and I'm still waiting for cooler temperatures too.

  2. Dark florals are definitely one of my favorite trends for this fall as well. I've been putting together a post on fall florals and transitioning spring/summer florals into fall with the right styling. I'm so happy they're sticking around for cooler weather because I bought and wore so many floral pieces all summer. I don't want to say goodbye to them yet!

    This dress definitely has an autumnal vibe, and you've really played that up with your styling of it. The loafers are a great touch, as is the deep lip color.

    It's so funny that you mention having a swollen eye because I have random allergy attacks, and my face swells up. Apparently, according to my allergist, I'm allergic to "everything", so we don't know exactly what sets off my attacks. I just have to carry Benadryl and an epipen at all times. When we were in Scotland, I had an attack. Spectacular, right? Just in time to visit the much-anticipated pink castle where I planned to get tons of outfit photos. Well, the weather cut me some slack and was rainy and crappy just the same, so it wasn't ideal weather for snapping photos anyways. But I didn't let my swollen face stop me from traversing Scotland! We went touring the local castles just the same. Though I do wonder if the tour guide thought there was something wrong with my face...lol

    1. Awe thanks Liz and yes it's definitely one of my favorites too. But yeah I have been getting some allergy attacks recently but I don't know why because I never had them before. That sucks you had an attack while on vacation but I bet it wasn't that bad, like myself I thought it looked bad but I guess it wasn't that bad.
