Grand Opening of City Chic in Brea

Hey Lovelies!!!
So this is a super late post but 2 weeks ago I went to the grand opening of the City Chic near me. I was excited to check the store out because one of my fellow Curves Around the World girl Kate from Sparkles and Lace always wears their clothes and they are always really cute.
So I was excited that they opened a store that is somewhat closer to me than the other stores. It was about a 15-20 minute drive which isn't too bad. So I knew I had to stop by and check out all the clothes that they had.
This pink dress is the one I see so many bloggers wearing especially my girl Kate, I believe she has this in blue. I will need to try this on next time I go to the store. They actually have this dress in different colors and prints.
I tried on the boyfriend jeans in this picture because I really wanted a pair but have not found one that fit me, so I decided to give these a try. Marie Denee from The Curvy Fashionista was actually wearing a pair too. But unfortunately they were too long on me and looked like regular jeans. But I found out they do carry shorter lengths for their actual jeans. They said that they didn't do the shorter lengths for the boyfriend jeans because they are harder to produce in shorter lengths then regular jeans.
I absolutely loved there rompers or jumpsuits, they had so many different ones. I have been on the lookout for a great one and I found a short version that I featured on my blog already but I would love a pants version. I tried on each one of these and yes I did purchase one of them too. I will show it off on the blog sometime soon! :) Can you guess which on I got?

Sorry this picture is a bit blurry but I really loved this black and white moto jacket.
I met the beautiful Marie Denee from the Curvy Fashionista again, this is my 3rd time meeting her and she is one of the nicest people ever. She was the first blogger I met when I started blogging a year ago and it's always nice seeing her.
So one of the things I realized about there clothes are the sizing.
XS - 14 | S - 16 | M - 18 | L - 20 | XL - 22 | XXL - 24
Now this is the only store where I'm a small! hehe But yeah it has such a great range of sizes so so many people could find sizes here.
So I was taking pictures outside and the owner Phil jumped into my picture. So I thought why not add it in here. I was talking to him inside about the clothes and he was the one that told me about the boyfriend jeans. But yeah he was very nice and very interested in what I thought of the store and the clothes.
I really enjoyed the store, there were some great pieces that they had. City chic is a bit pricey for me to be honest but I let myself splurge when I bought one of the jumpers. But I think it's a great option for plus size ladies to find fashionable clothes. So if you would like to check out there clothing you can visit there website here

  3. Looks like a great time, and they have really cute clothes! Finding certain styles in petites can be nearly impossible, but I''m not sure why boyfriend jeans would be harder to make in petites that other styles. :-)

    1. Yeah it was pretty fun. I know it is really hard to find certain styles but yeah he explained to me that with the fabric of the jeans and the style of boyfriend jeans it's just hard to make it for petite ladies because heights can still vary as well, something like that.

  4. Thanks so much for sharing, Nina! I've seen City Chic mentioned on other blogs, but I've never checked it out for myself. I guess I thought it wasn't a USA brand? Now I'll definitely have to check into it! What a fun event! Thanks so much for sharing all of the photos. Those jumpsuits are awesome, and I'm totally with you on that black and white moto jacket! Thank you for sparking my interest in City Chic and for all of the details on the brand, especially on the sizing. Good to know!

    1. Yeah like you I thought it was a brand in Australia only but I was glad to hear they opened a few stores in California and now have a online store for the US as well so yeah you should look online and see maybe they might even open more stores around the US. :)
