Curves Around the World: Day to Night

Hey Lovelies and Hello August!!!
I can't believe it's already August but I'm happy July is over because it was just crazy for me. But I'm back and should be getting back to responding to comments and visiting other blogs soon! But yeah this week's theme is "Day to Night" and I love the idea of transitioning outfits from day to night. I decided to use one outfit and change some of my accessories to create another the other look.
So the pants that I'm wearing are so comfortable, I actually bought them awhile back but only wore them once because the weather here in California has been so hot and my go to clothes when it's hot is usually a dress or skirts. But the weather is still warm but is a bit cooler then it has been the last month so I thought it would be a good idea to take out these pants. I have been wanting a pair of pants like these for awhile because my mom has a similar pair but I was never able to find ones in my size. Until I saw these at Forever 21+ and I knew I had to get them and I'm happy to finally be showing them off on the blog.

For my day look, I decided to keep it real casual with flip flops and a jean jacket. On casual days I like to be very comfy. I didn't wear any accessories because on casual outfits I don't usually wear any except for earrings and maybe a watch. I put my hair half up and kept my makeup natural. This is pretty much how I look on a regular day. What do you like to wear on your casual days?
So let me just say these pants are so comfortable and I love the print on them. Since the pants were so high waisted I decided to wear it with a crop top and I really the combination of the two. I actually never thought I would be able to pull off harem pants but I really like this pair. The pants feels like I'm wearing pajama pants, which is why they are so comfortable.

For my night look, I restyled the look a bit first by removing the jacket, then changing my flip flops to heels. I feel like heels can take any plain outfit and make it dressed up. As for accessories I added a necklace and a clutch. Just like my outfit I restyled myself as well, I added a darker lipstick, little bit of contour, eyeliner and put my hair down. Your makeup can be like accessories and can change your whole look from day to night.
Thanks for reading everyone! How do you like to transition your outfits from day to night? I would love to hear from you.

  4. I feel like summer has whizzed right on by, too! I'm probably rushing into fall a bit quickly anyways. I've been picking up all the September fashion magazines and lusting over the autumn apparel. I've got to make sure to squeeze in one last wearing of my various maxis before it gets too cold for them, though! I don't want to get ahead of myself, as I know I'll be sick of cold weather come January. lol

I love this dual-look post. The look with the denim jacket is easy and relaxed - perfect for a day out. The crop top look is really chic and sexy. I love your hairstyle in that look, too! It would be great for drinks with girlfriends or a date night. The gold accents with the necklace and clutch add a bit of glam/pizzazz. Really cool to see how you styled these trousers two ways! Printed trousers are a bit intimidating for me, but you make them look so easy and effortless!

    1. I totally agree Liz summer is just passing by way too fast and I am just like you looking at all the magazines and feeling so inspired for fall, I can't wait for it to get colder. But yeah thanks, I really enjoyed this post and I think it's one of my favorite looks and I think you could pull off printed trousers just have to find the right pair! :)
