Curves Around the World: Scarf

Hello loves!
I hope all of you are having a great Spring so far! Well it's that time again for another "Curves Around the World" post and this weeks theme is "Scarfs!" I love scarfs, I think they can be worn in so many different ways and they can transform an outfit plus they can also help keep you warm when it's cold.
So it was a little cold here in California today because it rained in the mourning and it was really windy when I took my pictures today but I decided to go for a light scarf because I don't think it's cold enough for a heavy one. I actually made the scarf this weekend when I was thinking of this challenge because it was hot that day I thought I would make a light scarf not thinking it would be cold this week. But yeah I looked through my mom's fabric and found this pretty lace so I cut it long ways about an inch and tied the ends together and boom I got a pretty new scarf infinity scarf. I actually was suppose to sew it but I decided to keep it open if I might want to use it for something else.

{tank:Forever 21+} {skirt:Target} {sweater:Old Navy} {shoes:H&M} {scarf:DIY}
So I kept my outfit pretty simple with plain prints but of coarse I had to add a little spice to the outfit with my leopard flats. But yeah I originally thought to wear a black skirt but then I thought I should add a pop of color so I thought this purple skirt would be great. I really like how the purple goes with the taupe color of the scarf. I wasn't going to wear stockings but it was kinda cold so I wanted the extra warmth. I usually have a hard time finding stockings because I'm short and I need a bigger size but I really like these ones from Old Navy.
How do you feel about scarfs? What's your favorite way to wear them? I would love to find new ways to wear them! :)

  1. This looks so cozy and wintry with the white tights. I've actually come around to scarves quite a bit over the last year or so. I just bought a lightweight, skinny one in pink metallic threading. It's not as bulky as some other scarves I own and is more a substitute for a necklace than outwear to keep warm. I definitely consult and reconsult those "a zillion ways to wear a scarf" things whenever I'm at a loss for how to wear them.

    1. I totally agree with you Liz, I like to substitute a necklace with the scarf instead of for keeping warm. I think that's what I was going for with this outfit. :)

  3. A lace scarf - be still my heart, such an adorable combination. And the earrings look so nice with it, they really play off of one another. Looks like yet another super comfy, yet extremely stylish outfit, well done (got any tips for me? :D )

  4. I love scarves, and I'm impressed you made this lace one. It's very lovely fabric. The purple is a pretty pop of color, and I love purple with leopard print!

    I love infinity scarves, but long scarves allow you to tie them a variety of ways.

    1. Thanks Cassie, yeah I'm trying to think of something to create with the rest of the material because it really is a pretty material. And I agree long scarves allow you to tie them in so many ways.

    1. Thanks Kate, there actually really light grey, that's why I'm a little more comfortable wearing them. I'm not too sure about white tights on me, but maybe.

  7. I think this is one of my favorite looks of you. Not only because of the colors - even if they suit you so wonderful - but you just look adorable cute with that skirt, the scarf and the comfy jacket.
