Curves Around the World: Maxi

Hello Lovelies! I am so sorry for being a little MIA this past month but I'm back and feel much better. I still have somewhat of a cold but that's better then what I was feeling last week, which is great. Thanks for everyone that said to get better! I know I have a lot of blogs to catch up on, I will be doing that throughout this week!
But yeah it is that time again for another "Curves Around the World" theme and I can't believe this is already the 20th theme with this group. I am so glad to be part of this group. I think I will be doing a round up of the past challenges soon. But yeah this week's theme is Maxi and this is something I would not have tried because I thought I was too short to pull it off. But because of this blog I decided to challenge myself and I tried a Maxi dress and a skirt. So since the two Maxi's that I own both were already worn on this blog, I decided to get another one.
So I was able to find this at a small store near my house that I'm not sure what it's called but I just stopped by because it had a sign that said it carried plus sizes, so I thought it wouldn't hurt to go in and look. I was surprised they had a variety of different clothes and the prices were really good too. When I was looking through the different maxi skirts I decided to get this one because it's black and white, which I love and it has stripes which is something that I've grown to love as well.  What do you think of the skirt?
So you probably can't tell that this skirt is actually suppose to be a mindi skirt and suppose to be around the calves when worn correctly. But since I'm a short, I pulled it down to my hips and it becomes a maxi for me, but if I pull it to my waist the length is around my ankle. So this skirt is one of those make it work things, plus it has pockets, I think that's why I chose this skirt.

The weather has been cooler but still pretty warm, that's why I decided to wear a vest instead of a sweater but I did switch to a sweater later that night. I decided to accessories minimally with my scarf and a pop of animal print with my shoes because why not! :) How do you like to wear your Maxi's? Are maxi's your thing? I would love to know! :)

    1. Thanks Elle, I was the same way but I slowly felt better showing my arms, you just got to realize that there's nothing wrong and it's natural. I think you could do it! :)

  5. Nina you look so pretty! I especially love your hair. I'm loving the striped maxi. I'm like you, I often wear things differently to how they are supposed to-why not! If you wanted this to be midi, you could turn over the waistband and it would look awesome as well. Great find!

  6. I am a big fan of stripes, I have a maxi with stripes on it from kiyonna. I wouldn't worry about altering the skirt from it's "intended" to a maxi by wearing it differently--sometimes items work better when you swap them around ;) . I'm 59", would you like a few inches? I'd love to be 5'6"! :)
