Hello Everyone! I hope you are all having a wonderful week. I am loving the weather in California right now, it finally decided to get cold enough for sweaters and jackets! I love when the weather is cold, but not too cold.
Oh and I have some fun news, I was nominated for the Navabi Curvy Blog Award. I'm really honored to be considered because there are so many great blogs on there that are nominated. I don't even know how I got included on the list but I feel so honored to be part of it. So yeah if you would like to support me and some other bloggers you can vote only once but you can vote for as many bloggers you want. I know I already voted for some of my favorites! :) You can click the link above to vote, I'm number #295!!!
Well it's the middle of the week and you know what that means, Curves Around the World post! :) This weeks theme is Girls night out and I honestly my friends and I don't really go out that much. Our girls night out is usually a night in at someones place where we watch a movie, eat and drink wine! But there are rare occasions that we go out and we actually did go out this past weekend, but I was dressed as a zombie and I didn't think that would count because I was in costume. hehe
So this is my go to girls night out outfit, a dress with a jacket and boots! Actually this dress has been in my closet for awhile and I have never worn it before. If you have followed my blog for awhile you probably heard that a lot, I have a lot of things in my closet that I always tell myself I will wear that when I am more confident or when have courage to wear it. And this is one of those items because it's a body-con dress, its a light color, and it has lots and lots of horizontal lines. But when I was looking through my closet for this outfit, I told myself it's time to wear it. And you know what I've noticed that I have a lot more confidence and self love for myself right now then I've ever had before and I really think it's because of this blog. Do you have something in your closet that you really like but never wear?
{Jacket-Forever 21+} {Dress & Shoes-Target} {necklace-Philippines}
So here it is, I decided to wear the dress and I paired with my forever 21+ jacket that I got for $18 dollars. I have a feeling this will be my go to jacket this fall and winter, so you might see it a lot on here. Oh and these boots I'm wearing are old but I just love them, I tried to take a close up picture of them but they didn't come out. But they have this button detail on the side of them, and I remember when I saw these I knew I wanted them and they have been one of my favorite pairs of boots for a few years. I hope they don't break, I will be so sad! Do you have shoes that you would be so sad if they broke? I actually have a few pairs myself! hehe :)

great GNO outfit!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Elle! :)
DeleteThe last time I went "out" like that I was also in costume, tis the season for zombies, ghouls, goblins, and sexy lingerie with animal ears, haha. I really like this outfit on you, I hope you feel as good as you look because you really do look amazing in it. Shows off those beautiful legs (I'm green with envy!).

Yes it is the season for costume outfits! :) But yeah thanks it's so weird people telling me I have nice legs because I used to hate my legs but I've learned to like them more. hehe
DeleteThis outfit is totally rad! The blue color really pops against your complexion and the black jacket and shoes. It's sexy and fun but still classy and totally appropriate. That's the perfect "girls night out" equation in my mind. I'm surprised you say you've never worn it because it seems similar to other pencil skirts or body-con pieces I've seen on your blog. Isn't it funny how we find some things approachable but just a little something freaks us out and scares us out of wearing it? I wear tons of prints, but I have one dress that I'm always a little self-conscious about wearing because it's so bold and colorful. So are my other printed items, but it my mind, there's just something more intimidating about the one dress that keeps it hanging in the closet without wear longer than the others. But it's totally in my head! Just like I think your apprehensions about this dress are totally in your head. It looks slammin'!

Thanks Liz, yeah i agree I think it's just my head sometimes and sometimes I let it get the best of me but I'm trying not to let though. :)
DeletePerfect colour combination Nina: I am glad you finally had guts to wear that dress cause it fits you nicely. Mmmhh: those legs ... id be saying you need to show more of them but you are in the beginning of winter and therefore that is impossible. Jackets and boots definately can be worn more than once, im looking forward on how you style them with other fab items you own :)

Thanks Thulie! Yeah it's cooling down a lot here so I'm going to start covering up a lot more! But I'm excited for the cold weather! :)
DeleteCongrats on your nomination! That is so exciting! I voted for you, of course!!
ReplyDeleteAs for the outfit, you DEFINITELY should have pulled this one out sooner! You look stunning. That blue is your color! Looks gorgeous on you. I love the 80s feel of this outfit with the body con dress and moto jacket!

DeleteP.S. Hope you had a great birthday!
ReplyDeleteThanks Cassie! :)
DeleteGorgeous!!! I LOVE the colour of this dress (but I bet you knew I would!!) You totally have the body for body con so you should rock it with no self doubt! I love dresses and booties. Adorable!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kate! I'm always in my head sometimes and I know I shouldn't doubt myself at times.
DeleteGirl you need to show off your legs more-they are fab! That dress looks amazing and you should totally wear it out. The colour is fun and striking and the jacket and boots (which I love) give the outfit a nice edge to it. You look great!
