Hello Everyone! I hope your all doing great!
It's the middle of the week and you know what that means, "Curves Around the World" time! This weeks theme is "Crop top" and this is something I've tried before but it's fall time and it's actually starting to get cold over here in California. Well today was colder then the begging of the week which was in the 80's! But I figure this would be a good time to show you how you can rock the crop top trend in fall.
So since it was a cooler day I thought about wearing a long sleeve top to keep myself warmer and you can also roll the sleeves like I did because it became a little warmer during the day. Oh and let me tell you a little secret, I don't actually have a long sleeve crop top so what I did was fold a shirt that I have to give it the crop top look. I've seen some great looks using long sleeve crop tops and also sweatshirts that are crop tops but I haven't found such an item that runs in plus sizes. So I thought might as well do it myself which led me to fold a shirt I already own. What do you think of Crop tops?

It still surprises me that I am wearing a crop top because if you would have told me this last time last year to put on a crop top and rock it, I would totally laugh at you. I used to be so uncomfortable with myself that I would hate wearing tank tops or anything that showed my arms so that fact that I am showing off my stomach is a big thing for me. But I am proud of how far I've come with my confidence within myself as well as me challenging myself in fashion. Do you like challenging yourself?
So I just want to say sorry for the sun spots in my photos, I didn't realize it until I saw my pictures on the computer and it was too dark to retake them. But in other note, I am so happy to wear boots again. I just found these boots at Ross and I think they are great short boots. You will be seeing me wearing boots in a lot of upcoming posts because they are my favorite things to wear in fall and winter. What are your favorite kind of shoes to wear?

DeleteThis whole outfit is really nice, well done. Cute necklace :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Aislynn! :)
DeleteI love this! The skirt is such a pretty colour!! I love booties! It was a great idea to fold up the long sleeved Tee. I will keep an eye out for long sleeved crops for you :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Kate! :) Oh yeah let me know if they have some XL long sleeved crop tops! :)
DeleteI love to wear ballet flats...stylish and comfy....
ReplyDeleteLove your boots though...!! <3
Let's talk about everything
I love ballet flats too, I actually wear them a lot year round too! :)
DeleteLove the purple, black, and blingin' necklace! The crop top trend isn't for me, but I do see women of all sizes and styles rocking them on the streets and on the blogs I read. Booties, though - now those are a trend I can get behind! I have knee-high boots in all my neutrals but no ankle booties. That'll be changing soon enough though!
ReplyDeleteThanks my dear, yeah it wasn't a trend I thought i would rock but I think once I did I felt fine in it. But yeah I love knee high boots too, but im currently I'm on the look out for some over the knee boots which is going to be hard to find because knee high boots are hard enough to find.
DeleteIm happy you challenged yourself Nina, it really paid off - you look amazing and folding the top to a crop is so brainy - great tip!!! love the color coordination too: great post gal, love it :)

Thanks Thulie! :)
DeleteYou just folded it? How creative! I should look for similar tops that I can magically transform into cropped tops! Hihi!
ReplyDeleteI love the look, particularly the boots! Can't wait for the next posts in boots!
hehe Yeah I just folded it, you should try it if you want to try the trend but don't really want to spend money on an item. And thanks you will be seeing lots of boot posts! :)
Deletei am not brave enough to wear a crop top! not even the tiniest bit showing for me!
ReplyDeleteI think you could totally rock it but if it isn't your style it's ok, you could always wear a tank under, some of the girls in the group did that! :)
DeleteLove this nina!! Really love the necklace with it. Purple is definitely your colour.:-)
