It's Tie-dye party!

Hey Friends!!!
I can't believe it's already August, summer has been really crazy for me. This post is a little late but, better late then never right?! Well a while back my friends and I had a tie-dye party, we've been wanting to do it for awhile and we finally had one. It was actually really fun and I enjoyed it, I wish I had more things to tie-dye. Well today I'm showing you how I the process of how I tie-dyed my shirt as well as an outfit with the top.
So when I found out we were having the tie-dye party, I started looking on pinterest for different things that can tie-dye and the different techniques. I originally wanted to do a t-shirt dress but I couldn't find one so I decided to do a regular tank top.
Their were a ton of different techniques on different ways to tie-dye, a lot of them aren't even pictured above. But I wanted to do something simple so I decided to go with the crumple technique because it was simple and I liked how they looked.
So above is the process of making my tie-dye, I just crumpled up my tank and then started pouring similar colors all around. I used a dark pink and purple and then I started to add some turquoise just for fun. I could have put more color bu I wanted some white spots to show so I didn't put as much dye on. After I covered it in plastic wrap and let it sit until the next day and I washed it out.
So the picture above is the end result and I really liked the way it came out.
So if you look at stores right now their are a ton of things that are tie-dye, dresses, skirts, rompers and so on. But when you think of tie-dye you usually think of the hippie or boho kind of style, so I thought why not change it around and try it with another style.
So when putting the outfit together I reached for this new bomber jacket I got from forever 21+ because I'm totally in love with it right now. I have been wanting one for a long time and I was at the mall and I feel in love with the color of this one, I was trying to decide between this one and the army green one but I liked this taupe color so much more. The jacket is currently on sale, but if your thinking of getting one, keep in mind I had to size up on the jacket and it's still a little snug on my arms but I don't mind it. You can buy the jacket (here).

So I'm in love with this outfit and I love how all the colors come together. The outfit is a little sporty and a little girly which is a great combination. And I don't get the whole boho vibe from this outfit which is what I wanted to do. Do you think I did a good job of making tie-dye not boho? Have you ever tie-dyed before? What do you think of tie-dye?
Thanks so much for reading! Have a great day!

XOXO - Nina
