3 ways to Rock a Graphic Tee

Hello my Lovely Friends!
So, I know it's been awhile my life has been crazy but I missed the blog and I'm back. So for today's blog, I'm talking about t-shirts. I don't know about you but when I go to an event I always end up with a shirt but I never wear them, they usually end up in my drawer never being worn or sleeping shirt. So I went to Hello Kitty con a few months back and I bought a shirt and it has never been worn and it's been sitting in my closet. So I decided to challenge myself and style it different ways. So find out how I styled it below.
So I bought this t-shirt from Hello Kitty con because I wanted something with the date on it because it was the first ever kind of event. I do this a lot with like concerts, I'll buy a tee with the date and then never wear it. So here is how I styled the Hello Kitty con tee, I came up with 3 different ways but I'm pretty sure I can think of a few other ways as well. But I think this is a great way for me to start wearing more t-shirts.
The first way of styling the tee, a everyday basic outfit with jeans. But I dressed it up with some heels. So instead of regular jeans I decided to go with ripped jeans, these are my first pair of ripped jeans. I've been really liking the trend but I couldn't find ones that fit me. A lot of the ripped jeans I found were boyfriend jeans and none of them seemed to fit me, so I was happy to find this pair of skinny jeans. The jeans add a little bit of flair to the outfit compared to just wear regular jeans.
(Shirt - HK con) (Jeans - Forever 21+) (Heels - Forever 21) (Bag - Ross)
The next outfit I came up with is a bit more dressed up, I paired the tee with a pencil skirt and a blazer.
(Skirt & Blazer - Forever 21+) (Boots - Ross)
Lastly, I decided to use my go to uniform outfit which is a skater skirt and a jean jacket with boots. When I can't think of something to wear this is usually what I wear and I honestly wouldn't have thought to put the HK con shirt with an outfit, but I'm liking it together.
(Jacket - Old Navy) (Skirt - Wet Seal+) (Boots - Target)
These are only 3 ways that I came up with to style the tee but there are so many other ways you can rock that tee. So if you have a t-shirt for a concert or event you attended don't leave it in the closet or wear it to sleep, challenge yourself and put an outfit together. Do you wear graphic tee's? How do you like to wear your graphic tee? I'd love to hear different ideas.
Thanks for reading!

  3. Very cute. I love the stark difference between look one and two even though it's the same shirt.

  4. Cute ideas!! I think I like the last outfit the best, and it does seem the most like your personal style! :)
I'm always looking for new ways to wear t-shirts because I tend to do the same as you - buy a t-shirt and wear it once or twice and then only wear it around the house/as pajamas.

    1. Thanks Cassie, and yes I am the same way and I paid a lot of this one so I thought might as well wear it out and not just around the house. :)

  5. This is great, Nina! I definitely lack imagination when it comes to styling t-shirts. In fact, I rarely buy them anymore. My last one was from a organization who came and did a panel discussion at our school four years ago. Plus, I hate crew necks. If printed tees came in v-necks or scoop necks, I'd be more likely to buy them.

This does give me some inspiration for styling a graphic tee. Each outfit has a totally different vibe. My favorite is the last one with the plaid skirt. It's the one I'd be most likely to wear, and it would be the easiest to recreate with what I already have in my closet. I love that you challenged yourself to style this tee three ways to inspire you to wear your graphic tees more often.

I'm also loving those ripped jeans! The wash, the distressing, the fit... Super cute!

    1. Thanks Liz and to be honest I don't really buy them either except for events because like hello kitty con they only had crew necks. But I'm like you because I would rather have a v-neck or scoop neck too.

  6. Nina I headed over here because I really liked how you styled all three looks! My facourite would be the first and the second one! I'm loving the jeans! Happy you found one that fit well. And I also really love the white blazer. I'll be dreaming about it tonight. Also I am obssesed with hello kitty and I wish there was a convention here so good job on the tshirt as a memorabilia! It's so worth it
