Inspired by Taylor Swifts Grammy Outfit

Happy March Everyone!
Did you guys watch the Grammy's? I know it was a few weeks back but I love the Grammy's because it a fun awards show to watch and the fashion is also fun. I love watching the red carpet and one of my favorites in general is Taylor Swift so when I saw her on the red carpet I was inspired to create an outfit.

Dreaming of Accordion pleats

Hello Friends!
Today I'm thinking of Spring, it's just around the corner and here in California the weather already feels like Spring. So I have been obsessing over accordion pleats after seeing Dior's Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2015 because they were all over that runway. So I've been searching all over trying to find one my size and that is also affordable. I'm happy to say I was able to find one. Click read more to see where I found one.

Curves Around the World: Pink

Hello everyone! I hope your having a great week so far, I can't believe how fast October is going but I'm enjoying the weather slowly cooling down.
As you might already know it's that time again for another "Curves Around the World" post and I was really excited for this weeks theme because it's a theme with a purpose. This week's theme is "Pink" in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month!

Breast Cancer is something that affects everyone, it can happen to a mother, sister, aunt, cousin, or friend. According to nationalbreastcancer.org 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime and that's a very small ratio. So that means someone in your life will be diagnosed with breast cancer.
For me it's my auntie Amy, she was diagnosed with breast cancer 2 years ago and had a mastectomy on one of her breast and has been cancer free since. She is a special person in my life because I think of her as my second mom. She is also the one person who always made me feel good about myself, she never hesitates to tell me I'm beautiful and she always compliments me on my outfits when ever I see her. I think she is the one person who believed in me when I didn't even believe in myself. That's why I dedicate this post to my Aunt! :)
I honestly wanted to find a breast cancer awareness t-shirt but for some reason I couldn't find one. I went to several stores and didn't find anything, I couldn't even find a pin. I did find water bottles, hats, socks, sweatbands, and headbands, all of which wouldn't fit into an outfit. So I decided to just go pink with my outfit, I'm wearing a pink sweater, pink makeup and I'm also wearing earrings that have pink bows on them.

You can't really tell but the bow is a baby pink, the colors don't show too well in the picture. I just had to show a shot of the earrings because they are just too pretty not to! :)

Since the weather is starting to cool down that means I can start to do light layers and I get to take out the boots. I love wearing boots so I was excited to start taking them out to wear and since they are short boots there not too bad in the warmer weather because I'm not going to lie it was in the high 70's and low 80's this day. So I actually ended up changing my top to a tank top afterwards because the weather. But I'm so ready for the cooler weather, I hope it comes soon!
I tried to take a closer picture to show my pink makeup but it doesn't really show up. I tried for the first time using a pink eye shadow but it didn't really show up. But yeah I am really happy with the way my outfit came out even though I wasn't able to get any breast cancer awareness gear.

Now if you want to learn more about breast cancer please check out the websites below and learn more about it and see how you can help as well.

Think in Bright Colors

Hey everyone, Happy Wednesday! I hope everyone is having a great week so far! The weather has been great here in California not to hot and not to cold just perfect 70 degree weather, just how I like it! So that means I can wear light layers and not die of heat.
If you saw my last post I was wearing a top made by my mom, and this top that I'm wearing was the pattern my mom used to make it. The top is actually a dress and I usually wear it with leggings but I thought of using it as a top. I really like mixing up pieces from my wardrobe and using it in different ways. Do you like experimenting with pieces in your closet? I am a person who doesn't have lots of money and I don't shop often but that doesn't mean  I can't be fashionable with the pieces you already have in your wardrobe. One way of doing that is recreating pieces that you already have wardrobe

I love this bright colored skirt and I've only worn this once before and since it was such a pretty day that I thought it would be a great piece to wear out. Since the skirt is so bright I decided to tone it down with the polkadots. And I love how the skirts belt actually fits me because usually belts that come with things I buy never fit when I wear it with the actual item. So I was really happy that this belt actually fit because I think the color really compliments the outfit well.

Have a wonderful rest of the week everyone! ~Nina~

Spring Adventures

Hey everyone, I hope everyone had an awesome weekend. Since the weather was so nice here in California, my friends and I decided to take a little adventure to LA. It was fun because we didn't have anything planned and we just went with the flow and went where the wind took us. It turned out really well, not everything we wanted to do happened but it was a great day and what made it even better was being with great friends.

So our first stop in LA was lunch at a place called URTH Caffe and it's in a real cool industrial area with lots of bricks. So I asked one of my friends to take my outfit pictures because I figured it would be a great area to take pictures. She inspired me to take some different pictures then I usually take. How do you think they came out? I really like how they came out.

Our next stop was the San Antonio winery, for wine tasting, a tour and some wine drinking. It was a lot of fun and the let me tell you the wine was so delicious, if your in the LA area this is a great place to visit. There food looked really yummy but since we ate already we just sat in the cafe and had a bottle of our favorite wine that we tasted, which was the peach Stella Rosa, it was very refreshing.

Does anyone watch Keeping up with Kardashians? Well on the show the Khloe has a stuff animal giraffe, so when I saw this giraffe at the winery I had to take a picture with it. It was so cute, that I could not take a picture with it.

Well the rest of our day in LA was we went to the MOCA (Museum of Contemporary Art) which was near little Tokyo so we stopped by there while we walked to the 2nd MOCA museum. Then we were suppose to watch a movie at the Hollywood cemetery but it was sold out. So we ended up having dinner at Pink's hot dogs, which is another great place to try if your in the LA area.

Well have a wonderful day! ~Nina~
